What’s so Super about these delegates?

I’m confused. Now I’m no genius or anything, but I’m fairly well educated, and illogical things make me wonder.

It is an understatement to say that  we’re in the middle of a very antagonistic and caustic presidential election. The tempers are heated, and” over the top” .Passion is rampant.

At the present time.,I’m not ready to become directly involved in the middle of all the various passionate controversies swirling around the election. At some point  I will…Big Time…But not now.

However, In the spirit of semi neutrality and good cheer,  could someone please explain this well kept secret , that is hidden in the closet of the Democratic Party.

Boys and Girls, raise your hand if you know what a Super Delligate is.

Tomorrow,(Super Tuesday) no matter what happens in the vote, barring a landslide(unlikely) for Obama, Hillary will still be comfotably in the lead for the Democratic  nomination.

This is because of a very unpublicized fact of the Democratic Party nominating process.

20% of the voting delegates were chosen even before the primary season began. These are the so called Super Delegates.

Who are they you ask, How about Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton,John Dean, all the members of the DNC, as well as Democrat Governors and other elected officials.

These super Dellegates represent 40% of the total needed to get the Democratic nomination, and according to most things I’vce read, the vast majority are in Senator Clintons pocketbook.

Don’t the Democrats, the party of the people and of the common man, trust those common men voters , to elect a standard beared without the elitist help from the insiders?

The Republicans have the people elect their nominees, no hidden super delegates…

Sounds weird to me. But what do I know?
